Word from Derek Lawrence: I was doing a radio interview with American radio station. They were asking about producing heavy rock acts like Deep Purple,Wishbone Ash and Quiet Riot I suggested Heavy Rock was influenced by Soul and Blues and many guitar riffs were taken from Soul and Blues bass lines. Also Rock singers were influenced by the great old? blues singers. He asked me what I listened to at home and I said Rock'n'Roll and Soul. That it was still brilliant and outlast most forms of new music He said I should write a song about the lasting kind of music. He said it sarcastically and I thought I'll show you. Going back to the hotel, I recalled the first time I went to New York and the groups singing on street corners So that was the first line Back street choir sing old school songs. I worked on the lyric untill I was happy and sent it to Rob Davis, Menshee and Milo and here it is!
