The Italians Sonar Impulse aka Zenith & Moratto put their stamp in the trance history with their 1997 classic The Door that now Talla 2XLC reworks for his label Technoclub Retro. Energetic driving rounded basslines, pounding drums, thumping punchy kicks and warm Mediterranean melodies on top. The various synthy layers are coming step by step to create a sense of dynamic progression and euphoria while underneath the acid layers add certain roughness to the proceedings. The breakdown is long and teasing with melodramatic atmosphere and the memorable cinematic male vocal hook that is recreated beautifully. The highlight of the track is the well-known 12 beats drop effect to raise tension and urgency along with that very industrial distinctive dark melody. The euphoric synthy hook follows to welcome trancers to the huge drop full of feel good melodies, sunkissed synths and the dark male vocal line.
